Our Team

 I am from a small town in Central Alberta. I went to post-secondary school in Red Deer and Edmonton. After graduating, I decided to move to Calgary with my best friend, I started dating my now husband, and working in childcare. We got married in 2018 and welcomed our daughter in 2021. Since then, I have enjoyed being a mom to our little girl so much and she brings me so much joy! In my spare time you can find me spending time with my family, baking, crafting, and spending time with our friends and their kiddos! I’m excited to be working at Brilliant Minds Academy because I truly believe in the success of classical education  and the way that it sets children up for success in their school years! 

 I grew up in a small town in British Columbia and decided to move to Calgary in 2020 to continue high school here. I recently just bought a condo in Okotoks with my boyfriend. I’m 19 years old, when I turned 12, I started babysitting my sister and since then I’ve babysat for family friends, worked as a day camp leader and started working in daycares in 2023. 

 Hey, I am Jasdeep Kaur Cheema. One of the staff member in Brilliant Minds academy . I stated working here in 2025 . I recently got married to my best friend.  I am a caring and hardworking person who values family very much. I enjoy spending time with my family, learning new things and dancing . I believe in kindness, respect, and helping others whenever possible.Some of my hobbies include listening to music, taking pictures, trying different foods and drinks, shopping, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy creative activities like painting, decoration. I like watching movies, exploring new places, and sharing fun moments with others.

 My name is Rajveer Kaur, and I am the mother of a beautiful child. I am originally from Punjab, India. I completed my Master’s degree in Information Technology in my home country, and I now hold a Level 3 certification in Early Childhood Education.

My daughter inspired me to become an Early Childhood Educator. I love working with children and helping them develop their skills. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and going on long drives with them.

 I am originally from Punjab, India, and moved to Canada to continue my education. I completed the Teacher Assistant program at Portage College and currently hold my Level 1 certification. I have always enjoyed working with children and helping create a caring, safe, and positive environment where they can learn and grow every day. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music and exploring new places around the city. I am excited to be part of Brilliant Minds Academy and look forward to supporting and building meaningful connections with the children and families.

  I am from the Philippines and am passionate about working with children and supporting their learning, growth, and development. I have been a preschool and grade school teacher since 2014 and have also volunteered in our children’s Sunday church program, where I taught the gospel and supported children’s spiritual growth. After moving to Canada in 2024, I continued my career in early childhood education and earned my Level 3 certification through my educational background and assessment. I am also a proud mother of a 3-year-old son who inspires me every day to become more patient, caring, and compassionate. In my free time, I enjoy adventures such as camping, hiking and swimming.

 I moved to Canada from Brazil 12 years ago, and I am passionate about Early Childhood Education. I love helping children grow while fostering a warm and supportive space where they feel confident to learn and thrive. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, biking, nature, spending time with family, and playing chess. I am excited to be part of the Brilliant Minds Academy team!

I am Joice, I am married and I have 2 young daughters, one of them is also a teacher in Maple Class, Ms Gaby.

I am originally from Brazil, I graduated there in nursing in 2016 and I came to Canada with my family in 2019, most specifically to Montreal. I lived there for 3.5 years  and I worked as an early childhood educator in  two centres then after learned French  we decided to move to Alberta for a new challenge. 

So I’ve been working over the 6 last years in this field, and since I got in Calgary I got my level 1 and I will start my level 2 soon.

In my spare time I like to cook, spending time with family and friends and also go into the nature.

I love spending time with children and teach them as well.

  My name is Gaby, I’m from Brazil and I live in Canada for 7 years now. I used to live in Quebec where I stayed for 3.5 years, so I speak french fluently. I am not married, but I have a boyfriend. I worked with my boyfriend as a Barista. I used to babysit since I was 12 years old and I love working with children. 

I live in Nanton with my son(12), dog and 2 cats. I also have two grown daughters who live on their own. I went to High School in Okotoks and after that attended Mount Royal University to study Child and Youth care work.  I’ve supported children, youth and families in different capacities for over 25 years.   I am especially passionate about young children because of how unique,  curious and creative they all are.

In my free time I enjoy paddle boarding, downhill skiing and travelling.

   I am a mom to 3 beautiful children. We moved to Okotoks 2 years ago in which I decided it was time for a career change. I got into early childhood development because I’ve always enjoyed working with children and being apart of their growth. It is really rewarding to watch children learn new things, gain confidence and just be themselves. Being a mom has strengthened my patience, empathy, and problem solving skills which naturally carries into my work everyday.

   I am originally from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and relocated to Calgary with my family in 2020. My decision to move to Canada was inspired by the opportunity to provide my children with a quality education while continuing my own professional growth in the field of education.

Before coming to Canada, I spent 19 years working as a Junior High and High School teacher. Throughout my teaching career, I developed a deep passion for supporting children's learning, growth, and well-being. This passion led me to pursue Early Childhood Education, where I can positively impact children during their most important developmental years.

As an educator at Brilliant Minds Academy, I am dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I believe that children learn best through meaningful relationships, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to explore their natural curiosity. It is a privilege to be part of each child's learning journey, and I am committed to helping them build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Hello, I am Jaed McLean. I have been at Brilliant Minds Academy since January of 2026 and have been enjoying every minute of it! I have always had a passion for working with children ever since I was younger, whether that was babysitting or volunteering to now being an early childhood educator. My favourite things to do are hiking in the mountains, spending time with my friends and family, and exercising. I have been in Okotoks for 6 years and graduated high school in 2024 to then get my level 2 certificate for early childhood education and development! 

I am originally from Punjab, India. Before coming to Canada, I stayed in Australia for some time. Later, I moved to Ontario with my husband, then to Saskatoon for immigration purposes, and eventually settled in Calgary, Alberta, where we found a better balance and lifestyle for our family. In 2021, we welcomed our son, who brings so much joy to our lives.I have always had a strong affection for children and enjoyed working with them back home as well. I completed my Bachelor of Education and MPhil in Punjab, and I am currently upgrading my ECE levels here in Canada. I truly love working with children and supporting their learning and development in a caring and positive environment.In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking , reading . I am really enjoying working at Brilliant Minds Academy because I appreciate the caring environment, the way the children are supported, and the strong sense of teamwork. Being part of the academy feels like being part of a family. 

Hi, my name is Manali Patel. I am originally from Gujarat, India. I completed my schooling, college bachelor's of education, I also completed my Master’s degree in Microbiology. Since childhood, my dream has always been to become a teacher because I truly enjoy helping children learn and grow.

Later, I decided to move to Canada to build a better future and gain new experiences. I got married in 2022 through an arranged marriage, and in the same year, I moved to Canada with my husband. After coming to Canada, I started working in childcare because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and supporting their development in a caring and positive environment.

I am passionate about creating fun and engaging experiences for children through learning activities, creativity, and play. Working with children brings me happiness and motivates me to continue growing in the childcare field.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, watching movies, and trying different vegetarian foods, as I am a pure vegetarian. I am a caring, patient, and hardworking person who always enjoys learning new things and building positive relationships with others.
